We’re open 6 days a week between 10 am and 3 pm.
We are closed on Mondays except for Bank Holidays and School holidays
Our Visitor Centre is open 10am to 3pm (Summer Hours) with tea, coffee, soft drinks and refreshments, as well as information, activities and Hope Pastures’ goods and gifts.
We have lots of horses, ponies and donkeys on site for you to meet when you visit us, and we run several fun events and fayres. We also offer activities throughout the year, such as Pony Days, and hosting visiting groups and birthday parties. You can learn more about upcoming events by visiting our Diary of Events Page.
The Visitor Centre and yard are wheelchair-friendly, and we have disabled facilities.
We welcome dogs on leads.
We’re very proud to say that TripAdvisor has awarded Hope Pastures a certificate of excellence, and we are Yorkshire in Bloom, Gold winners 2025
It’s FREE to visit and free parking, but we rely on donations to support our rescue work, so these are gratefully received when you visit, no matter how small.
How to find us:
It’s easy to find us by car – we’re on the North Leeds Ring Road at the Adel/Weetwood traffic lights. The postcode LS16 5PH will get you here via satnav.

By bus – the No 28 from the city centre stops at the top of our fields, or just over the ring road and the No 23 and No 24 stops near Weetwood Hall on the Otley Road, which is a 5-7 minute walk away. The No 9 around the ring road stops opposite us.
On foot – we’re at the bottom of Weetwood Lane, at the Ring Road end.
