Good quality forage is the mainstay of our ponies’ diet and we buy thousands of pounds of this every year. Usually this is hay. This comes in both traditional small bales and in large modern ones. Depending on the season, one small pony will eat a small bale in about 4 days. Larger animals will eat this much more quickly.
