This is case 1 our ‘Beyond the Yard’ series
He was someone’s pride and joy.
His owner contacted us because their own health had sadly declined and there was no one else to help. Caring for him had been getting harder for quite some time before they picked up the phone.
Following a thorough vet assessment, he was able to move on to a foster placement for further assessment and support.
This wasn’t a dramatic rescue and there was no blame. Just someone who loved their horse and found themselves unable to keep going on their own.
Not every horse we help becomes a resident at Hope Pastures. Sometimes support looks different.
