Winnie is looking out for a new home…

Winnie was brought to us by his old owner that could not keep him due to their health/circumstances. She felt it was best for him to be re-homed with someone experienced with time to bring him on. He is now at one of our training sites establishing his basic groundwork. He is being assessed to see if he could be a ridden pony in his future. He is a cheeky and lovable pony that will make someone an excellent addition to their family.

Current Training

Winnie is learning how to be a member of a heard and understanding boundaries such as when being led out and fencing. He has a very trainable attitude and has quickly accepted tack and a rider leaning over him. We will be looking to establish him for on the ground before continuing his ridden education. Winnie loves to be groomed and is good to have his feet picked out. He is available for re-homing to anyone experienced with young/green horses.

  • Winnie is good for the vet and to inject.
  • Winnie is good for the farrier.
  • Up to date and good for the dentist without sedation.
  • Up to date with de-worming and good to do.
  • Good to tie up, groom and have his feet picked out.
  • Winnie does like the company of other horses, he is working on being brought away from others as he has never been without company.
  • Winnie is currently working on going for walks and will be introduced to traffic and farm machinery.
  • Due to an incident while loading in a trailer we have sedated Winnie to travel but are looking towards working with him so he can travel without.

Winnie can be viewed at his current yard in Scarborough, North Yorkshire and can be re-homed anywhere in the Yorkshire area. All our equines are up to date with Farrier, Dentist, de-worming and up to date with Flu and Tetanus vaccinations.
