Tuck’ (Friars Crystal Springs).

We have available for loan a registered Welsh Mountain pony (section A). Tuck is a 22 year old, chestnut, gelding. He is approximately 12hh, and is available for loan as a companion pony.

Tuck is good to catch, lead, tie up, groom and have his feet picked out. He has seen a little bit of local traffic and been led around the village in hand.

Tuck came to us with his best friend Toffee who has unfortunately passed away now. We do not know if he has ever been a ridden pony but has started some work with tack and seems to be very accepting of this.

He is very social with other horses although does like to be the boss! He has previously been in with mares, geldings and a mixed herd. He has been in a loan home for the past year and is now looking for a new home due to no fault of his own.

Tuck, like a lot of native ponies, requires normal restricted grazing to manage his intake. He has not shown any signs of laminitis although he has been managed well. He does not have any vices and is generally very well behaved and easy to do. He would be happy to be stabled or could live out 24/7 as long as he had access to a field shelter.

Tuck is Passported, Microchipped and up to date with Flu and Tetanus vaccinations. He is well behaved for the dentist and farrier. He loads and travels well and is regularly worm counted.

Tuck is looking for a caring home to love and look after him. He makes a good companion and family horse. If you feel you can offer him this kind of home please get in touch!
