Rescuing and re-homing equines since 1974

Logan is now growing up and is searching for his forever home.

  • Logan
  • ¾ registered Welsh Section D
  • 13.3hh
  • 3 in May 2020.
  • Gelding
  • Available after training this summer
  • Good to halter and lead in the field. May need practice leading in new/novel areas.
  • Up to date with vaccinations and worming, will be seen by the dentist before rehoming.
  • Good to groom all over and pick up hooves
  • Good with the vet, generally good with the farrier (he is growing so can struggle with balance)

He is a ¾ registered Welsh Section D gelding who will be 3 in May 2020.

He will be measured properly soon but is standing at approximately 14.1hh at the moment. His sire is 14.2hh and his Dam is 14.3hh.

Logan is a delightful pony to be around, he is inquisitive, funny, friendly and very trainable, responding especially well to positive reinforcement training.

He has been well handled since birth and is good to be around, groom and pick out his hooves in a field environment. He is also playful and enjoys interacting with his brother, mum and dad who he currently lives with.

Logan is however a green pony in many ways, and needs an experienced, kind and knowledgeable loaner to bring out the best in him and set him up for a happy and productive future.

Logan has had a health issue as a foal which he recovered from by the time he was one, this meant several weeks in Horse Hospital and on our main site where he did become used to being stabled and accustomed to yard life.

The rest of his time since a foal has been spent living out in a field with his family, therefore a life where he lives out as much as possible would suit him best. He can be stabled and does settle but ideally this would only be for short periods of time.

Logan is looking for a home which will use kind, consistent & ethical training to continue his education.

He would be best suited to a herd with geldings only or a mixed herd with mares who are able to tolerate him pestering them in the beginning- having only really known his mum as a mare, he does find new mares a bit exciting, and there may be a period where this needs to be given time to settle in a safe environment.

Logan doesn’t respect electric fencing unless it is switched on and does need an environment with good safe solid walls/fences.

Logan is available under our loan agreement, subject to a home check approval and Ideally would go to a home in the Yorkshire area.

Rehoming fee applies of  £200-Project pony.
