Come along to the knitting group on Wednesdays from 10am-12noon in the visitor centre. It’s a great opportunity to get together with others, have a couple of cups of tea/coffee and a chat, as well as knit some of our very popular knitted ponies. It’s free to come and we provide the refreshments and wool. If you haven’t knitted before we also have expert knitters there who can show you what to do. The knitted ponies are sold in our visitor centre and at shows – they’re really popular and are very easily ‘re-homed’, so your knitting will raise vital funds to help our rescued horses, ponies and donkeys. No need to book – just turn up, or contact email@example.com for more information.
Maintaining the sanctuary is like painting the Forth Road Bridge – it never stops! We’re a really small team who have to concentrate on looking after the ponies, so we always need volunteers to help us with the regular maintenance jobs around the sanctuary, such as painting, fence repair, clearing and gardening.
On the last Saturday of each month (Feb-Oct inclusive) we get a team together and tackle some of our major jobs. We even ply you with refreshments. 10am-2pm (or as long as you can manage!) To find out more contact firstname.lastname@example.org, complete our Volunteer Registration Form or just call in.
