Muffin is a little mule (half pony, half donkey). He has in-between-sized ears, a sticky-up (long) donkey mane and a pony body. You’ve heard the saying ‘stubborn as a mule’ well, they knew Muffin!! He looks sweet and innocent, but can be very determined and you have to meet him halfway. Despite his size, he’s a very big character and lots of fun to have around. He makes a half ‘neigh’ and half ‘eeyore’ sound (his very own 'neighore') due to being a donkey/pony cross. His call always makes people stop and laugh – as do his short legs, which look rather too small for his barrel of a body (though you must never let him know you've noticed this!)
Despite being well into his twenties, Muffin is a healthy fellow, which is just as well, as he’s not at all keen on being treated by the vet.
These days Muffin shares a field with donkeys Banjo and Coco and our smaller ponies. He's a very special animal (he even writes our Blog) and kindly shares his time with both sides of him – some days mingling with the ponies and others chilling with the donkeys. He takes his responsibilities to his 'public' very seriously and is always available for you to see him.+ Add to basket
