Hope is a very sweet girl who loves children.
A Welsh pony, she was in foal and emaciated when she was rescued. Every bone was visible, and she was on the verge of collapse. She was bought from a horse dealer when someone went to view another horse: instead they took Hope home. A week later Hope gave birth to a foal, named Cherish.
Unable to keep them, the rescuers asked us to take Hope and her foal. We were happy to do so as they were still in a poor condition and needed a lot of care and rehabilitation. We were able to give them the special treatment needed to reach full health.
Hope and Cherish made a good recovery, and after Cherish was weaned Hope went to a foster home, but returned to Hope Pastures when she developed laminitis and hoof abscesses. She had to spend quite a lot of time on stable rest but thankfully she is a lot better now. She enjoys being in the pony and donkey herd, and has made special friends with Sparky, who adores her.
Hope is a very friendly, calm and placid pony. She loves being groomed and her food, licking her feed bowl out until it’s shiny!+ Add to basket
