Dotty & Angel
(Arrived at Hope pastures 31-10-09)

We have two new residents called Dotty and Angel who are miniature shetland ponies, mare and daughter.
They came to us as their owner could no longer keep them and was concerned that their future was unsecure.
They are very friendly ponies who are in need of a diet as their love of eating too much grass has caught up with them.
In time they will live with our other shetland ponies once they have properly settled in, in the meantime they have been saying hello over the fence to other horses. Zak in particular likes them and is always popping over to say hello to them.
We are hoping to take these two ponies out to visit Schools,care homes and nursing homes in the future as they are small enough to get around easily and it will give people who would not get the chance normally, to interact with animals and learn more about them.


Spring 2010
Dotty and Angel have settled in very well and are a pleasure to have around.
They have been to visit 2 nursing homes recently where they were very well behaved apart from the odd nibble on Dotty’s part.
They were also used as petting ponies on our open day and were good as gold, with crowds of children all stroking and cuddling them which they loved.
They are both in good health and have lost a little weight, which is good as they were rather too round when they first arrived.
We are looking forward to attending more schools and nursing homes with them throughout the summer and to help us gain more support with our rescue work through meeting more supporters.
