Welcome to Hope Pastures

  • Bessie on arrival at Hope Pastures

Hope Pastures uses your donations to prevent suffering and to improve and save lives. Thanks to your support we rescue, rehabilitate and re-home horses, ponies and donkeys in need.

Our dedicated team of supporters, volunteers, staff and trustees all ‘go the extra mile’ to make a real difference and to help your donations do the same, with a massive 95p of every £1 donated to us spent directly on the animals.

You can visit everyday to see the sanctuary residents FREE of charge 10am to 3pm (2pm in Winter: 1st Nov – 1st Mar).

Our Visitor Centre provides activities for you to do, information, souvenirs and refreshments. Because it’s run by volunteers, it’s only open at weekends and bank holidays, but you’re welcome to just visit the residents any day.

Some of the things we offer:

  • Pony Days
  • Birthday parties
  • ‘Meet the ponies’ with ‘hands on’ brushing sessions
  • Events and fairs
  • Corporate volunteering
  • Group visits eg for schools and brownies
